Our flat weaves and dhurries are craftsman-created, with a pile that’s not tufted, but flat, unlike other carpets and rugs. They are not knotted, but woven on a loom with just two threads, except for our category of distressed overdyed rugs — which are knotted flatweaves. Their appeal derives from their slim gauge; some are reversible,
and hence more versatile. We’re also innovating with a newer tactile experience, by combining flat piles with thicker ones for added dimensional and textural interest. Carpet Kingdom’s flatweaves are primarily made of wool and cotton, as well as silk and polyester.
