Dhurries
Dhurrie weaving was a major means of carpet artisanship in rural India, with designs and motifs indicative of the region of a dhurrie’s origin.
Our collection of dhurries ( the original term for a traditional flat weave rug ) made of wool, silk, cotton, or jute, are made with the crafting sensibilities and traditional manufacturing processes that have been in use for centuries. Specially woven to be tight and dense, they are very durable, and by allowing their pattern to appear on both sides— also reversible.
Crafted using a simple and traditional weaving technique, they are woven on looms. Our dhurries or flat weave rugs incorporate design and craftsmanship parameters unique to the subcontinent. They convey a uniquely subdued elegance, and with their versatility are ideal for virtually any interior design look.
